NAPLES, FL – A male motorcyclist died, and a second adult male sustained serious injuries Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in northeast Naples, reports Naples Daily News.
The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. on 19th Place Southwest between Sunset Road and 42nd Street Southwest, which is in the Golden Gate area.
The investigation indicates that an eastbound motorcyclist veered into the westbound lane and collided with a pickup truck. The collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, and he died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured, but his 27-year-old passenger went to the hospital with serious injuries.
The motorcycle also struck a parked vehicle in the area of 4300 19th Place Southwest. The vehicle was empty at the time of the crash.
As the investigation continues, police are actively trying to identify the deceased motorcyclist.
