1 killed, 1 hurt in motorcycle vs. auto crash in Paisley

PAISLEY, FL – A 72-year-old man died Thursday after colliding head-on with a sports car along a busy roadway in northern Lake County, reports Lake County Florida News.

The incident happened around 1:50 p.m. on County Road 42 near West 4th Street, which is just southeast of Clearwater Lake Recreation.

The investigation indicates that the eastbound motorcyclist veered into the westbound lane of County Road 42 and collided head on with a 2017 Hyundai Veloster. The sports car then left the roadway and crashed into a group of trees. 

The motorcyclist died at at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

Medics transported the 23-year-old driver of the Hyundai to the hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
