Auto vs. motorcycle crash kills 1, hurts 1 in Melbourne

MELBOURNE, FL – A passenger died, and the operator of a motorcycle was hospitalized after their bike collided with a vehicle on a busy roadway in Melbourne, reports Space Coast Daily.

The incident happened on Tuesday in the area of 800 South Harbor City Boulevard, which is just north of Morris Community College of Business.

The investigation indicates that a gray Fiat turned left out of a parking lot across the path of a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The two vehicles collided, and both the motorcycle driver and his passenger were thrown from the bike.

The passenger, identified as 47-year-old Katrina Colley, died after transport to a local hospital.

The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 56-year-old Timothy Colley, went to the hospital with unidentified injuries.

It is unclear if the 20-year-old driver of the Fiat sustained injuries in the accident.
