Motorcyclist killed in crash with pickup truck in Fort White

FORT WHITE, FL – A motorcyclist died last month in southern Columbia County after colliding with a pickup truck along a busy Fort White roadway, reports Main Street Daily News.

The incident happened at 2:08 p.m. on March 17th near the intersection of Southwest Wilson Springs Road and Southwest River Oak Court, which is just east of the Fort White Wildlife and Environmental Area.

The investigation indicates that the motorcyclist attempted to pass a pickup truck while driving west on Southwest Wilson Springs Road. The two vehicles collided, and the 20-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

The 50-year-old driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the accident. 

The investigation is ongoing.
