JACKSONVILLE, FL – A motorcyclist died Thursday night after his bike collided head-on with an SUV on a busy roadway in Jacksonville, reports First Coast News.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the Edgewood neighborhood on Ellis Road South, which runs north to south between I-295 and US-23 in Jacksonville.
The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound motorcycle and a southbound SUV collided head-first in the roadway.
Medics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
