SARASOTA, FL – A 21-year-old man died Tuesday night after his motorcycle was hit by an SUV in northeast Fruitvale.
According to WWSB, the motorcyclist was heading east on Fruitvale Road when he was hit has he passed through the intersection with Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.
The rider, an Orlando man, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later on.
The SUV’s driver immediately fled the scene. Officers located an abandoned 2020 Audi SUV nearby on I-75. However, it has not been verified as the vehicle involved in the deadly crash.
