CANTONMENT, FL – A 12-year-old and an 18-year-old went to the hospital this past Sunday afternoon after their dirt bike collided with a pickup truck in Cantonment, reports WEAR News 3.
The incident happened around 3:49 p.m. near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Louis Street, which is just west of Carver Park.
Police say the driver of the dirt bike neglected to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the side of the pickup truck. Neither teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, and they both sustained critical injuries.
The teens on the dirt bike sustained serious injuries. It is still unknown whether the truck driver was hurt in the crash.
