ALACHUA, FL – An 18-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday night after his bike collided with a pickup truck at an intersection in northwest Alachua County, reports WCJB.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of State Road 235 and County Road 237, which is just southwest of La Crosse.
The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound pickup truck collided with the westbound motorcyclist in the intersection.
The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained only minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
