GAINESVILLE, FL – A man and woman riding a motorcycle went to the hospital Friday night after their bike crashed and overturned along a Gainesville roadway, reports Ocala-News.Com.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on the southbound side of State Road 331 near US-441, which is just west of Sweetwater Wetlands Park.
Police say that the 69-year-old man operating the motorcycle lost control of the bike as he approached the intersection. The motorcycle overturned, seriously injuring the 46-year-old female passenger.
Medics took the woman to the hospital in critical condition.
The motorcycle operator sustained minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
